As a director of Invotex Group, Charles W. Rains is directly responsible for performance and oversight of engagements in complex litigation and consulting matters involving valuation, damages, tax and financial issues. Mr. Rains has more than nine years of business valuation and litigation support experience, including commercial damage calculations, lost profit analyses, forensic accounting, bankruptcy, and intellectual property valuations. He has been involved in over 300 business valuations with total appraised value exceeding $1 billion, representing varying industries. Mr. Rains’ litigation experience includes analyzing business losses and improprieties, searches for hidden and undervalued assets, marital/non-marital tracing, minority shareholder dissenting action suits, misappropriation of funds, financial fraud, and opposing expert critiques. He joined Invotex Group after working for 11 years at two Baltimore/Washington based regional accounting firms. Nine of those years were in business valuation and litigation support and two years were as an Accountant in the Tax and Audit, Accounting, and Consulting departments. Prior to that, Charles was a realtor with Champion Realty, Inc., where he assisted residential homebuyers and sellers in purchasing and selling their homes. In addition, he assisted a senior appraiser with residential real estate appraisals. |
